Papilio is a cloud based collaboration software. In simple terms, your office on internet (or in your phone). Here, we bring you a broad overview of what Papilio is and how it functions. Details of each function is explained in other sections of Papilio Knowledge Base.

Let us take a look at your office. You have many clients and for each client, you provide various services. You are supported by a team to fulfill these services. Each service will have a series of steps to complete it. To give you an example, a "Private Limited" company incorporation can have steps like "Name Approval", "DIN for Directors", "Documentation (Memorandum and Articles of Association)", etc., Each of these steps can be further detailed.


That, exactly, is the setup in Papilio. And a bit more to support all these. A pictorial representation of the same is as below:



For each client, you may be rendering one or more services. Each service can have one or more task-lists and each task-list can have one or more tasks. As you see, one person or more are associated to a service and each task is assigned to such associated people. These task-lists and tasks, though a good practice to have, are not mandatory. 


As and when people work on a task, they update task status. May upload files where-ever it is necessary. And enter time that they spent on each such tasks. And as and when all tasks are completed, manager or senior will review and close the service. 

That is the simplest way of working on Papilio.
